Inhaling water+soap vapor thru nose? Good or bad?!

Question: Inhaling water+soap vapor thru nose!? Good or bad!?
About 3 days ago I had a stuffed up nose, so I poured boiling water in a sink with a bar of soap, then inhaled the vapor with a towel over my head through my nose!.

It kinda helped with the nose, but now my lungs hurt when I breathe and I got a cough!. Is it just a coincidence!? Or have I done damage to my lungs!?

I thought many people do this!.!.!. Then again, maybe it has something to do with the soap!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Using warm/hot water to breath the vapours, is not a bad idea, but i am not sure you should be putting soap into that!. You can use 'vicks' putting just a little into the warm water ( tip of a teaspoon only)!. although it does make your eyes water a bit!.
your chest being sore is probably part of the same infection that caused your nose to bung-up in the first place!.!.ie!.!. the next stage of the cold!. Just wrap up warm, take plenty of warm drinks, a dose of paracetamol, and rest, you should start to feel better!.!.!.if your chest gets worse over the next few days, get down to the GP, as you could have a chest infection!.!.!.!.and that would need a doctors advice, and help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes you did hurt you lungs!.
you need a doctor to order a sputum analysis, and chest x-ray see if you have inhalation pneumonia or infect or irritation!.
So the steam helped clear your sinuses!. next time just use plain water, and for no more than 3 minutesWww@Answer-Health@Com

Yeah!.
If anything it was the soap!.
The soap doesn't help get rid of your congestion at all, it's the hot water!.
Make sure not to add the soap next time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
