Interesting Question, I deal with one everyday!. My father has been an alcoholic ever since I can remember!. Its a disease that passes down from generation to generation!. My father's father also was one!.
My Def!? He drinks from 11am until he passes out in the evening!. Sometimes its hard liquor, sometimes its wine!. Other times its beer!. He gets mean and can't control his anger!. He also has crazy mood swings!. Half the time I have no idea what he's talking about!. He was abusive physically and mentally during my youth!. When he drinks, he gets mean, very mean!. He also needs to have it everyday!. I once tried to hide all the alcohol in the house, he had a fit!. He is able to function during the afternoon when he first starts, but late in the evening he is hardly coherent!. Living with one is not easy, and my father will never admit to having a problem!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Generally, I think of an alcoholic as someone who is addicted to alcohol!. By addiction I mean someone whose body has a physical dependance on alcohol, i!.e!. the person experiences withdrawal symptoms like irrational behavior or irritability after a certain period of time without having a drink!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
my friend asked me to pick his son up from the pub because he wasnt allowed in the pub so i said to my friend come get him when you pull yourself together well 2 years later i still had his son he had a choice alchole or the pub i guess the pub won the boy lives with his mum now sad so i guess to me its someone who chooses alcohole over anything elseWww@Answer-Health@Com
