Changing Ear Piercing too soon?!

Question: Changing Ear Piercing too soon!?
I just got my ears pierced today, and i've heard that stud backings can make risk of infection higher because dirt and stuff can get caught in it, and it can be difficult to clean without taking it off!. I was wondering what would happen if i wanted to change them today for the sake of hygiene and leave a curved barbell in for the remainder of the healing time!. Thanks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can have a professional piercer help you switch the jewelry out if you desperately need to!.

The better plan is to give your ears a couple of weeks to allow the piercings to start to heal first!.

Yes, earring backs can be an irritation and can hold dirt and germs more easily, BUT it's easy enough to clean them if you're aware of the problem and make an effort to clean them thoroughly!. Just pay special attention to the backs and get them squeaky clean!. Don't take the earrings out to clean, just do a really, really good job cleaning around them!. Q-tips can make this much easier!.

Also watch the backs to be sure they don't get squeezed on too tight!.

Let your piercings have a couple of weeks and then have a piercer switch them over!. If you're confident in changing them yourself, a couple of weeks waiting time will make it MUCH easier!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Trust me, DO NOT take them out for AT LEAST a week!. I did, and my ears got all infected and sore!.
After a week or so you could probably put other earrings in, but use small studs or sleepers!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
