Medicare is for people 65 and older AND those who are on Social Security disability, regardless of age!.

Medicaid is a federal program as is Medicare, but it IS administerd by the state's and varies from state to state!. Medicaid, or some other name (Medi-Cal in CA; AHCCCS in AZ) are for those who are "poor!." If you look at the income requirements, it completely abandons the working poor and you have to wonder if folks ON Medicaid are reporting all income as minimum wage, 40 hours a week makes you too "rich" for it unless you've got kids!.
