Buy as much stuff as possible used at places like Goodwill!. You will get great deals on clothing, books, appliances, etc and you are keeping useful items out of the landfill and putting local people to work!. A win, win, win situation!.

On that note, practice dumpster diving, especially the last week of school!. If your college has a greek system hit the frat and sorority houses-these rich kids throw out some very high quality stuff!.

Buy food at the farmers market and for even cheaper food offer to help a farmer out on occasion in exchange for food!. I have done this with college students on my farm and they go away well fed (I will also fix them a meal) with a lot of produce to eat for the next week or so!.

Buy in bulk and learn to can and freeze the excess for meals later on (If you are still transient this is not always workable but!.!.!.)!.

Join a freecycle email group!. people give away all sorts of usefull stuff!. http://www!.freecycle!.org to fond groups in your area!.

Use rags and cloth towels instead of napkins or paper towels!. Far less waste and you will save about $100 a year not buying such things!.

hang your clothes on a clothesline to dry

Reuse yogurt tubs/plastic food containers for food storage instead of buying plastic food storage containers!. they work just as well, are free and keep plastic out of the landfill!.

Turn down your thermostat in winter and avoid using AC in summer!. This can cut your electric/gas bill in half

Walk or bike instead of driving!. Good exercise, free to do and is non polluting!.

Buy food in bulk when they are on sale!.

Buy unprocessed food-dried beans instead of canned beans!. Raw veggies instead of frozen or canned!. Stay away from processed foods as much as possible!. All are bad for you and very expensive!.

Grow a garden start small and simple and eat what you grow!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well there are lots of househole products now that are "green"!. It will usually indicate on the bottle or something!. I don't know in the US but in australia everyone there's pretty concerned abt the environment!. If they're too expensive I heard u can use lemon!.!.!.!?!? u might wana check on that first!.!.!. Oftentimes you will have to spend more on those special products!. So find other ways to save the earth like using a cloth bag and saying no to plastic (but I guess u already know this)!.!.!.

As for food, research on veggie markets run by organic farmers themselves!.!.!.they may set up a market in your area once a week/month, and u can buy in bulk!. That's the cheapest way u can get organic food!. Otherwise, they are usually expensive if u buy from the grocery shop!. Sorry that's all I can advise u!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

PAINT EVERYTHING GREEN!! INCLUDING YOURSELF!! THEN APPROACH JOLLY OLD GREEN GUY!.HE HAS EVERYTHING GREEN (FOOD) INCLUDING WATER!!!!!!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try growing your own food in a pot or somewhere that gets lots of sun!. Don't use anything that has chemicals in it to feed it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
