Alcohol and crack addictions?!

Question: Alcohol and crack addictions!?
One of our co-workers is an alcoholic!. It is also suspected he has a crack/cocaine addiction as well!. I made a comment that he is worse off having both crack and alcohol addictions, as opposed to being addicted to alcohol only!. Another co-worker does not think so!. He feels that he is NOT worse off being addicted to both crack and alcohol, as oppose to just alcohol alone!. If he is addicted to both, then he is having more symptons than just being addicted to alcohol only!.
Is a person worse with both alcohol and crack addictions, or alcohol addiction alone!. I would appreciate a kind response!. Thank you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I just took a class this semester called Addictions and the Family!. And, this man is worse off being addicted to both!. He will have to get help dealing with both of these addictions which affect the brain!. Addiction is really a disease and people need to understand that!. He will need help through a program that can help teach him how to deal with the disease, and also speak with a therapist to uncover any underlying problems!. Also, pharmacological treatment may also beneficial in helping to deter him from continuing use!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

For users, crack & alcohol go together like peanut butter & jam!. They start the day with booze & use crack to stay up all night to drink more & so on!. It matters not that he is addicted to both or just one, the end result will be the same!. Total or partial loss of everything he holds dear!. Encourage him to get help, calling him a drunk or crackhead just makes him do it more!. Most workplaces are obligated to help with these matters to keep other employees safe & a good working environment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well any addictions no matter if its one or two or more, is never easy and can only be harder to over come!. Not only is this person searching for his next drink, he's also looking for his next high which can be very costly in more ways then one!. Regardless of what kind of addiction one person has, I can't imagine a person with two or more addictions is at the same level as a person with one addiction!. In any case its not easy!. I say your right!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You are asking about two different deck chairs on the TITANIC!
Either way, he is in for a world of pain and misery!. I have yet to meet an active addict or alcoholic that was truly happy & we all have a pretty good idea where he will end up!. Instead of arguing over a stupid moot point, why don't you get active in an intervention before this poor sot gets somebody at work hurt or killed!Www@Answer-Health@Com

He is worse off with two addictions!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
