Question: Can anyone give me some tips on how to readjust my sleeping patterns!?
I've been living in a student house for a while now, and I can't get to sleep until about 7am!. Then I sleep all day!.
Obviously I need to change this if I ever want a real job!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
1) No TV in the bedroom!.
2) No caffeine for a day or so (yes, you might be cranky)!.
3) Force yourself to get up early so you are sleepy and then start going to bed at a normal time!.
4) Make your sleeping place a quiet, peaceful place!. Like with comfy clothes, quiet or have a relaxing CD playing low!. If sound is an issue, maybe run a fan not pointing toward you to drown it out!.

I am an expert sleeper!. I love it!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You have to get regular sleep at nights not in the morning!.

Try and set a time, example 10:00 pm and make sure you are in bed at that time!. If there is any noise around, you have to block it out, by playing some music!.

It will be very difficult, because your body is not used to going to sleep so early!. You could even read a book while in bed, as sometimes that can make you sleepy, even if you don't sleep right away, at least you are in bed awaiting the moment to arrive!.

If you go to bed at 7:00 am, you have to sleep for at least 8 hrs which brings you to 3:00 pm!. The day is just about finished and when you are to sleep say 10:00pm you won't be able to!. So re-adjust your sleep pattern so you sleep nights not early morning!.

Your noisy students will have to learn that when certain time comes, it is night time, which means rest time and not disturb others!.

When things have improved for you and you have finished your studies, you have to move out so you can get some peace and quiet!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

force yourself awake the hour you want to get used to - drink coffee, do not let yourself lay down

DON'T TAKE NAPS!!

choose a specific time you want to get used to for your "shut-down" at nite, THEN you can allow yourself to fall asleep!.!.!.

but you hafto stick to the times and you hafto do it every day!

depending on how long you've been a nite owl, it could take UPTO 3 MONTHS to FULLY adjust yourself!.!.!.

but if you're patient and you continue to force your sleep pattern to change, it will!.!. eventually - the natural pattern for humans is wake during the day/sleep during the nite - your body/habit/patterns will start to re-adjust!.!.!.

start on a stretch of "kick-back" days - like a 4-day weekend or something!.!.!. anyway, good luck!! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
