Question: Do overactive thyroids run in your genetics!?
I believe I have an overactive thyroid because my neck is swollen and my mom recently had a swollen neck and found out it's an overactive thyroid!. I am very young, in my teens, am I too young!? Does it run in your genes!? Please help I'm really freaking out!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes it is one of those things that tend to run in the family!. If they have it, your chances are good of having it too!. It's ok, it can be controlled!. Go to the doctor to make sure!. Don't try to self diagnose yourself!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
