Question: Any suggestions for an 8yr old boy with sever behavior problems and ADHD other than meds!?

Severe behavior problems does he have these problems while at home or just at school!? At home you can try some of the things I did with my son first change his diet and give him vitamins!. Then reward good behavior and take away things he likes for the bad behavior I spent tons of insurance money on therapists for about three years until I figured out how to handle the behavior!. The major piece of advise I can give you is stick to your guns with the discipline it does work!. At school it is their problem and they have to work with you if you don't want to medicate try and find an advocate in your area to help you deal with the school!. My son is turning 18 tomorrow and has completely changed since 3rd grade when I was first told he had adhd and I knew he didn't have it he was just being a boy yes he was a little hyper but the teachers just didn't want to deal with him but its their job!. My son is an a/b student and has had no issues in the past four years!. Have him tested by the school psychologist they can place him in a class that he can have more one on one attention!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There are herbal remedies that I've heard of!. Don't know if they work but you may want to check it out if medicaton is not the route for you!.
