There are myriad reasons that his Doctor had ordered the MRI, if you believe that he is having one done of his head it could be serious!. I have a brain injury and I have to get one every year, sometimes every 6 months when I get my medications evaluated!. They usually perform the MRI to rule out the possibility of blood clots, they usually perform a CT scan to check for tumors and cancerous growths!. I pray that there is not anything awful but there is always a chance!. Your father will probably get the results at his next appointment if it is not catastrophic, or perhaps sooner depending on the physician!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

MRI's have considerably greater contrast of soft tissue than a tradition CT!.!.!.!. This is why they are quite useful in oncological , neurological, cardiovascular, and musculoskeletal imaging!.!.!.

If he is fainting, then that means they were doing a neurological scan!. Keep in mind that the vast majority of these types of scans turn up negative!. Meaning, most of the time the are done to rule out any possible benign tumors!.!.!.

Once again, please do not be concerned!. I have heard nothing you have put that would give an indication of anything more than routine!.!.!.

Good Luck and I Hope this helps!.!.!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not necessarily serious, yet there is some kind of problem otherwise they don't do MRI for nothing,as well they can see what else is going on inside with out cutting you open to see, there are many different conditions by which an MRI will be ordered, but basically it is to dissect into small portions of pictures to get a better look at the problem inside!.!.!.Hope your dad is ok,and its not any thing to bad!.!.(concerning thoughts for your care of a nother)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had an MRI once!. all it is, is an xray that can see beneath the surface!. like your muscles and it sees bone matter and lots of other stuff!. its like a test!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
