Answers:
When we do a MRI study of the brain, for example, we take about 100 images, where I work!. We do different types of images, in different planes!. We take axial images (slicing through the brain, dividing it into inferior and superior planes), sagittal images (slicing through the brain from the left to the right) and coronal planes (dividing the brain into anterior and posterior parts)!. We also do spin echo, fast spin echo and FLAIR images!. Unfortunately, it takes a lot of time to gather all of this information!. But, scan times are getting shorter, with new technology!. In the whole scheme of things, MRI is relatively new!. Think of how primative the first automobiles were compared to today's automobiles, or the old rotary phones compared with the cordless version most of us have today!. With time, technology always gets better!.

An MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) test takes approximately 30 minutes or more because it takes two-dimensional picture of the body!.

It provides more detail than the x-ray, which is one-dimensional!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
