I have this really horrible nervous, scared feeling?!

Question: I have this really horrible nervous, scared feeling!?
Today I stayed home from school, mainly because I was just feeling so anxious!. I know that sounds lame, but it is something I have never felt before!. It's that really weird nervous feeling you get in the pit of your stomach, only about 10x worse!.

I've had that feeling before, but it has never been this strong or lasted for so long!. And there is no reason for me to be nervous or scared!.!.!. I just woke up with this bad gut feeling, and it just doesn't seem to go away!.

The feeling in the pit of my stomach, accompanied by quick, shallow breathing has been going on all day!.!.!.

What on earth is happening to me!?!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sweetie, you are having panic attacks (anxiety attacks) You didn't say how old you are!. You probably should talk to your parents and let them know!. You may need to be put on a short term medication to slow down!.

Relax!.!.!.Something is eating at you!. Someone at school maybe!? Home problems, girlfriend problems, classes!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am no professional but it could be the beginning of an anxiety attack or I'm not sure but if it has something to do with the fear of going outside!. Regardless I feel you need to seek advise from your doctor and maybe get a referral elsewhere!. It is really important that you get this resolved before it seems to much to cope with especially as you are young you need to get it dealt with as soon as you can!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi,
I myself get anxious, and I know its horrible!. Try seeing your GP, and you should be able to get some meds that will make your life so much easier!. If you feel funny about having to take medication don't let it get to you!. I started then stopped because I hated having to take it, but I regreted stopping, you'll get over it if you see how much it helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's OK - I have this too!. It's anxiety - pure and simple!.

Problem is when the old andrenaline starts kicking in and you feel that way it takes a while to subside as your body is going through a natural process - which makes you worry more!.

Start by working out why you got so anxious - maybe worried about a class or a situation!? Try to resolve this!.

Otherwise when it happens, clear your mind, breath deeply and slowly - step away and take some time to relax!. Sometime I find that if I do something to take my mind off it , it helps!.

If it continues your doc can help!. But do not worry - this is perfectly natural and lots of people go through this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
