Question: When should i get a nose job surgery!? im 16!?
im 16, turning 17 this september!.!.i really hate my big nose and i also have a deviated septum so my doctor says i need a nose job to help my breathing!.!.so i met up with a board-certified surgeon and he says he can fix my breathing and at the same time fix the appearance but of course it will cost more!.!.he said my age is not a problem so i really want to do it this summer so i can look good, feel good, and not have to carry an inhaler with me wherever i go!!!

but the problem is that my mom insists that i should wait until after high school where i am fully grown!.!.!.but i dont think my face will continue growing!. and even if it does grow it wont make that much difference!.!.i mean if sooner or later i will have surgery why dont i do it now so i can enjoy my last year in high school!!? ANY IDEAS!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would say try to do it before you senior year, if not, no big deal waiting til the summer after u graduate!. I had the surgery over the summer right out of highschool for a deviated septum and a broken nose!. Whenever you decide to do it, make sure you give yourself at least a week and a half to recover and all will be well!.
By the way, most of the time insurance will cover all or part of your surgery if you have a breathing problem!.

ALSO, it does not hurt as bad as people say!. The worst part is breathing through your mouth for a week, which is not that big of deal!.!. just like having a stuffy nose til your Dr!. removes the gauze!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if you can take the rumors, gossip, and people picking on you for having "plastic surgery" especially from stupid drama queens- go for it!.
Don't listen to anyone who says "but it's your natural look and you shouldn't change anything" because it hurts your esteem and i think that's way more important!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should wait until you're 18 and done growing!. I agree with your mom on that one!. Sorry!.

Also!.!.!.!.you have a deviated septum!? How is that remedied by carrying an inhaler!?!?!? The two things have nothing to do with each other!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Go for it! I'm going to have mine done too this june and i'll be 17!.

i hate my nose too and i just want to look beautiful!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's going to hurt really really really bad!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

get it wen u feel like!.!.!.its ur face ryte!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just a heads up, you are probably going to get a lot of negative comments from people who don't understand where you're coming from!! If this is something that you KNOW you want to do, then DO IT!! I would suggest waiting until you are 18 because "they" say you are done growing then!.!. but that is just what I've heard about other cosmetic surgery procedures, I don't know about rhinoplasty ("nose jobs")!. Let me just tell you this!.!.!. I NEVER developed (boobs), I knew from the time that I was 16 that I wanted to get breast implants!. Everyone told me not to do it, they said I would regret it and I would be fine without going through with it!. Well! After high school, I finally got them and I could not be happier!! Surgery does not change who you are INSIDE, but it definitely will make you more confident about your OUTSIDES, which is what people notice first, before your personality!. If this feels right to you, then DO IT!! Don't listen to what other people say!. They are not in your shoes!. Good luck :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am 34 now and had 2 sinus surgeries during the time I was in college!. One of them involved having my deviated septum straightened!. I do NOT notice a difference in my breathing since the surgery and now have a little bump on the bridge of my nose that was not there before and my one nostril looks almost as if it has a small slit on the upper outside part!. I would definitely recommend that you have the 'appearance' part addressed so you do not end up with visual blemishes like I did from the surgery!. Best of luck with your decision!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
