What should i say to the GP? 10 points!?!

Question: What should i say to the GP!? 10 points!!?
I'm 18 years old fm!. Been ill a lot lately over the past year with recurring tonsilitus(will be getting them out soon) so been to the GP and seen most of the doctors in the practice!.

Anyway thats not the problem!.!.!.i want to go about the way i feel and ask for advice!. I've been self harming, unhappy loads, angry, drinking a LOT and just generally been having problems!.

The thing is i'vealways seen the GP for more sort of like medical problems(like my tonsilitus) so im really worried he's going be like 'what are you doing!.!.!.get over it!?'

I really don't like the way things are rite now and do want change which i can't seem to make myself!. Thats why i think i need help!.

Another problem is that i have a HUUUGE problem with talking about feelings and stuff!. I get so embarresed!. Sometimes i just choke up and can't get anything out!. I once tried to talk to my mum n burst out in tears :S (this as a while ago though)!.
And they all know mfrom my tonsilitus!.!.also not goodWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Your doctor may have to refer you, but you should insist you see a psycho-therapist of some sort!.

It may be that you are generally run down because of your recurrent illness, this will exacerbate how you are feeling!.

General doctors are not so good with mental health (some are not so good with your physical health either!)

You are not alone and you do not need to be - help is out there!. Therapists are non-judgmental and non-threatening, sometmes it is just good to off-load to someone who does not know you as a doctor, friend or family member!.

Good luck xWww@Answer-Health@Com

Yes tell you doctor
Seems to me your under stress waiting for those tonsils to come out its no fun having that problem
You didn't say how old you are as it also seems you hormones are out of whack as well you really do need to tell him/her!.
Doctors never say what your thinking at least I haven't known one to and if they did I would let loose after all your employing them are you not!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need to skip the GP about these problems and go straight to a therapist or psychologist- a GP won't be able to help you, the therapist can pinpoint your exact problem and if you need medication, he can then tell your GP what is wrong and he can perscribe medication!. Think of a therapist/psychologist as a friend who can help sort out what you are feeling and why you are feeling it, go before you get addicted to alcohol or hurting yourself- you will feel sooooo much better after you see the therapist and it will be so much easier for you to talk to the therapist because he/she will NOT know you- it is hard to talk to MOM or a GP that already knows you because you think you will be judged- the therapist will be totally objective and does not know you personally, and it is like being able to talk to a complete stranger who actually has the answers- because they are a complete stranger, you will always be in control of the situation!. You really need to see one before your problems get too big!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
