If you're limber enough to see the sole of your foot there's really no need to see a doctor for a glass splinter in the foot any more than in your hands, most likely you'll be able to spot it when you clean your foot well (look for a tiny dark spot that remains when you scrub your foot), and really remember where exactly you feel the prick when you step on it!. If necessary, soak your foot for a while, that'll make it easier to find and remove!. Use a pair of needle-nose tweezers or a pin to pick it out, put a drop of iodine or some such on it and you're on your way!.

And there's nothing stupid about walking barefoot in the basement, splinters can happen but they're rare!.!.!. going barefoot still is comfortable and healthy, it's good for your feet and general posture!. I'm barefoot for eleven years, always and everywhere, I get a tiny splinter maybe once a year (always pick them out myself) and I've never had a cut!. It's just one of the minor mishaps that occur, I get splinters in my hands far more often (I like things like working wood and gardening and I average at least one a month in my hands) but I still wouldn't want to wear gloves all the time!. Splinters are annoying but not a serious injury!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You'll have to go to the ER and have them get it out for you!. When I was a little girl, I had a knot on my arm!. My mom picked and picked and finally, a big piece of glass came out!. Since this is your foot!.!.!. you'll likely have to have someone get it out for you!. A foreign object in your foot like that could cause infection so it's best that you do something about it now!.

I assumed when she said piece of glass that she wasn't talking about a splinter!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
