Question: Afraid to go to the doctor help!?
Ok here goes, I had a terrible experience at the dr's about 6 months ago, I had a virus of some sort so I went to a walkin clinic just wanting some high grade Ibuprofen so I could sleep!. The only 'dr' there was a Physician's assistant who looked like she was 20 and a medical assistant who was just mean!. I already had some anxiety about being there to begin w/ which I explained right off the bat!. Long story short, before I left I was hooked up to an ekg, some other machine, my pulse was taken 5 times, and it was suggested I had a bacterial infection and should go to the ER!. I started crying b/c I was really freaked out at that point, the P!.A!. then said okay u don't have to go to the ER just promise me u'll have your bf wake you up every couple hours to make sure your temp hasn't gone up more!. My ekg was totally norm btw and my pulse was norm by the time I left, I basically had an anxiety attack b/c they scared me half to death!. I'm completely terrified to go to any dr now help!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

The best suggestion I have is to find a real doctors office!. The walkin clinics are NOT the place to go if you have a fear of doctors and bad experiances!. You can look on vitals!.com and other doctor rating websites to find a doctor other people have rated as caring and good, and is in your area!. That way you don't have to worry about if you will have a bad experiance or not!. I hope it all works out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
The ER is not like you see on TV !.The ER is to get help now
not every PA or MA are the same some or professional and some need to work on it I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience!.please remember you heath comes first!.If you ever need to go to the ER have somebody go with you having somebody
with you is comforting

Go to a different doc if you feel that you need to!. Get to know them and trust them!. There are some awful doctors but you just have to try and avoid them!. (I refuse to see 2/5 of the docs at my local clinic :(Www@Answer-Health@Com
