Opiates can be very similar to alcohol, they often depress the CNS, but it varies from person to person!. Some people still function and can operate machinery and perform cognitively without a hitch!. And some people just pass out or are severely sedated!. But opiates often give a sense of strong euphoria and alleviate pain!. Alcohol's effect is not as intense and is a very different sensation!. Opiates are very easily addictive and the body quickly gets immune to them, demanding a higher dose to get the same high!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

an alcohol high will make you light headed and the vapors kill cells when you sniff it!. An opiate high is more internal and it is inside the vein running in your bloodstream!. An opiate high can make you hallucinate and see or hear things that arent really there!. It also either makes you jumpy and jittery, or slow and relaxed!. It all depends on the kind of person you are!. Thats if you are referring to illegal drug opiates!. Hydrocodone (Vicodin) will make you drowsy and slow moving!. You would feel very relaxed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You're playing with fire by entertaining this question!. Every human being has a different reaction to different types of alcoholic drinks and prescription medication!. My personal experience is that alcohol made me feel more relaxed and happy!. I did not get a high from oxycodone!. It made me anxious and itchy!. Prescription pain medication is for management of pretty severe pain- not for getting high!. You could end up dead!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Codeine has a greater effect on your internal organs than alcohol - Codeine is far more addictive than alcohol, while high on Codeine meds you are more likely to feel tired and sleepy & relaxed as where with alcohol its common to become agitated and aggressive!. But as a method of getting high which is basically abuse of either substance then either one could kill you xxxxxxxWww@Answer-Health@Com

Big difference on what areas of the brain get sedated and to what extent!.
Alcohol sedates the frontal lobes first destroying inhibitions and cognition, paradoxically this can stimulate the primitive parts of the brain resulting in 'Tarzanism!.'
Codeine, what we used to call 'schoolboy' seems to dim and down much more evenly, all opiates give a warm soft 'rush' of cosiness that is some peoples particular 'cup of tea' I preferred the opposite, LSD, it seems to be personal preference and the one that really hits an individuals 'spot' often causes them the most problems, that's why you can't generalize about the causes and effects too much!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

both are central nervous depressants, but opiates work by binding pain receptors!. If you want to experiment with these things (which is kinda dumb since both are addictive possibly) PLEASE do not mix them!. You could end up dead!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Take a vicodin, find out firsthand!. It's so much better than alcohol!Www@Answer-Health@Com
