There are some visual ways that show up for some people, for example if you pull down the lower rim of your eye - if it's reddish that could be allergies!. Also if you get what some people call the allergy ring a purplish darkening under the eyes!. It's different from person to person!. For me my eyes are dry my throat is scratchy and I get tired!. Some peoples noses run a lot!. To really know you could mark down your symptoms and record them for each season - if the same stuff happens around the same time each year then it's likely to be allergies!. PSKWww@Answer-Health@Com
The color of what you cough up or blow out you nose is usually a good indicator!. As gross as that might be, Allergies are not an infection so mucous is usually still clear!. A bacterial or viral infection will cause the mucous to become yellow, green or rust colored!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Try taking benadryl and see if that clears things up for a little while!. Anti-histamines only work on allergies, not general cold symptoms!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
