Is an intensive outpatient program eligible for short term disability?!

Question: Is an intensive outpatient program eligible for short term disability!?
I am in an IOP program!. Its Mon-Sat from 9:00am - 3:00 pm!. Its considered hospitalization but outpatient!. My question is I am not able to work for a 3-4 week period!. Does this qualify for short term disablity as long as it is signed off by a doctor/physician!? Thank you :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Short Term disability will cover this as long as your doctor signs off saying that you are unable to work during treatment period and if needed the recovery period!.

My husband just had 12 weeks short term disability with 5 days in hospital and 2 weeks home!. He did that 4 times and the he was covered for all 12 weeks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am assume you are referencing for SSA or SSI!.

I would guess possibly; but it usually takes about 6 months minimum to process anything thru either of these mammoth bureaucracy's!.

Lots of good luck, you'll need it,
