Melatonin vs Valerian Root?!


Question: Melatonin vs Valerian Root!?
I usually take a 3mg Melatonin each night before bed, but lately I have heard people talking about how Valerian Root helps them to sleep, so I am wondering if the Valerian Root works better than Melatonin!? Or is it the same thing!? Do they work the same way!? I am looking for information on Valerian Root and possibly some experiences from people who have taken it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Melatonin & Valerian root are different!.

Melatonin is a natural hormone in the body!. It is produced during deep sleep stage in early AM It ought to be used in varying amts every succeeding night & then 1 night without it so that you don't gain a tolerance for it!. If the body gets a too steady stream of Melatonin your body will think it doesn't have to produce its own!. Therefore if you vary the amounts, you are helping your own melatonin to kick in!.

Valerian root has been used for insomnia by having affinity to GABA receptors in the brain!. If your mind races or your very anxious it can cause very vivid dreams, nightmares & irritability!. Amt!. suggested is 450-500mg!.

I suggest staying with the Melatonin & varying the amt!. nightly!.

Valarian root helps relax the central nervous system, promote feelings of calm, decrease levels of anxiety and stress, and enhance sleep are known to millions the world over!. The only downside to Valarian root is it's smell, which isn't too hot!. But i take three and in about one hour im asleep!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
