Hey there Doc! Well here's my opinion!. The scrubs I wear, usually kinda go with my mood!.!.lol!. Don't get me wrong, i'm normally a girly-girly so I do like pinks and such, but I rarely wear that color to work!. Not that i'm mad or sad at work, but I guess I think people take me more seriously if i'm wearing navy blue or something!.!.lol!.I do have my days where I look like a freakin' rainbow exploded all over me so, I can go both ways!. I have a hard time deciding on one permanant color code for each dept because we are allowed to wear what we want!. I guess i'm not really helping huh!.!.lol!.!.This is so not my area of expertise!.!.I say "Freedom of color (and pattern if you like)"!.!.Haha, this is why I don't work in the dept!. that implements uniforms!.!.lol!.!.Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Obviously, you want to make it so that either gender can tolerate wearing them!. My mother is a nurse, and I want to be a doctor!. Here's what I would recommend:

Nurses: Aqua or Navy

Doctors: Light Green or Orange (Bright colors - if there's a trauma, you want to be able to identify who your docs are)

Orderlies: Red sounds like a good Idea

Senior Staff:Lavender/ dark purple sounds good, or else a color to compliment the other staff!. (if nurses are teal, senior staff are navy!. If doctors are light green, senior staff are dark green, etc!.)

At my mom's hospital, nurses wear lavender, docs wear green, techs/orderlies wear navy, and the seniors just have their lab coats!.

I am partial to an aqua/teal/bluish sort of color!.

By the way, yellow is the most soothing color!. Just FYI!.

Hope this helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com

My mom is a nurse and they have the nursery nurses wear an option of two blues for security issues with kidnapped babies!. Other than that, doctors are black, grey, or white!. Techs and orderlies are red or that generic green!. Nurses (other than nursery) are pink, white, or purple!. I guess senior staff could wear the scrubs or shirt and coats!. I would go with shades of the same colors for each job so that it is easier for patients and visitors to remember!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm a nurse in the US and I love wearing my pink scrubs!. All my scrubs have some pink in it!. I think your ideas are good except I'm not sure how male nurses will feel about those colors!. I think colored scrubs are a good idea for patients to distinguish the different roles people play in the hospital setting!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
