Would having a basketball fall on your head kill brain cells?!

Question: Would having a basketball fall on your head kill brain cells!?
With all the studies that have shown that heading a soccer ball properly does not /actually/ kill any brain cells at all as was once thought, as the head does not undergo a whiplash effect, I'm curious if other similar impacts might generate any damage to the brain or not!. For instance, if a basketball fell directly onto a person's head from say, 10 ft!. above, would any harm be dealt to the brain at all!? Considering that the head cannot be segued into a sudden movement from the impact (since it's being hit on the top) that would lead to a closed head injury/concussion, like in a car crash or if the basketball was actually thrown into a person's FACE, wouldn't the brain be kept absolutely safe from harm - or could the sheer kinetic force of impact send a jolt of energy pooling through the brain to do it damage!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

The effect you are looking for is called shearing!.!.!.!.

Small blows could do it - it would be unlikely to produce any noticable effects, but its possible!.
