Questions to family doctor in letter form appropriate?!

Question: Questions to family doctor in letter form appropriate!?
I have had severe anxiety and panic attack recently and started to have like a stutter during the panic attack!. I had a follow up appointment with my doctor to make sure the stutter wasnt something wrong with my brain!.A friend was supposed to come along with me to remind me of questions I wanted to ask!. I get nervous at appts!. and blank out abit!.
Something came up and I had to go alone I freaked out abit and didnt ask any of the questions I wanted to even when the doctor asked me if I had any questions!.
I dont want to call because talking on the phone is hard lately with the stutter!. I was thinking of maybe writing a letter asking the questions is this appropriate!? I dont want the doctor to think Im freaky or something!. I could number the questions and they could maybe call me back and answer according to the question number!. Is this asking too much of a doctor!? I know they are extremely busy with alot of patients!.I could offer to pay an appointment fee for the time they spent!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
No, that's perfectly fine!. It'll probably be read and the response typed out by the receptionist, but I would just say there were a few questions you forgot to ask!. If your doctor pays attention, he will know that you have trouble with talking on the phone!.!.!.!. they'll more than likely see it as part of the same appointment!. Most doctors I've talked to are willing to answer questions by phone, letter, and/or E-mail at no charge as long as it doesn't happen on a regular basis!.

One thing that might help for future appointments is to write out a list of questions that you need to ask!. That'll give you time to think about each question carefully and you can write down any new questions that come to mind when they come up!. I've had to do that more times than I'd care to admit, and I have always preferred having the list because I knew a few of the things would have been forgotten!.
Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
