Question: Have you ever declined a procedure or withdrawn consent at the hospital or dr!.'s office!?
Why don't people seem to know that they have the right to say no to anything whether it's "hospital policy" or not!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have!. Twice in the same hospital stay actually, just a couple of weeks ago!. Although, I am a CNA and recognize that I have the right to refuse anything that I am not comfortable with!. I am not sure that the general population realizes that they have this right, or choose to exercise it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

SEVERAL YEARS AGO, I WAS SENT TO THE HOSPITAL FOR A SCOPE PROCEDURE!. WHEN I GOT THERE AND SAW WHAT THEY INTENDED TO DO, I SAID NOT ON YOUR LIFE! I GOT OFF THE TABLE, GOT DRESSED AND WALKED OUT, JUST LIKE THAT!. AND I TOLD MY DOCTOR I DIDN'T WANT TO HAVE SUCH AN INVASIVE TEST!. HE SAID IT WAS O!.K!., I DIDN'T HAVE TO HAVE IT!. NOW THAT TELLS ME SOMMETHING - I HAVE CONCLUDED THAT I REALLY DIDN'T NEED TO HAVE THE DARN THING ANYWAY!. I FEEL FINE, HAVE NO HEALTH PROBLEMS, AND I SAY IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DON'T FIX IT!. AND YOU ALL HAVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ANY MEDICAL PROCEDURE!. MY HUSBAND HAS REFUSED SEVERAL INVASIVE TESTS TOO!. BOTH OF US ARE FINE!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

pretty much because they don!.t kno that they can!.!.!.!.!.and i think they feel intimidated!.!.!.!.!.!.i!.ve declined an ekg!.!.!.!.!.!.eff that, i didn!.t and i knew i didn!.t need it!.!.!.!.!.my doc had good intentions and wanted to be completely thorough, but i wasn!.t gonna pay for that!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
