I have a dull lower back pain that radiates to top and back of my thigh, what is!

Question: I have a dull lower back pain that radiates to top and back of my thigh, what is this!?
I've done a lot of gardening and I do have a weak back (I'm 25) but I almost think it's from the way Ive been sitting on my couch!. I sit with my feet propped up and my spine is curved ( I slouch)!. When I sit and stand I feel the radiating pain!. It's kinda dull but annoying!. Could a Chiropractor fix this!? And how do I find a GOOD chiropractor (I've had bad experiences with them taking a lot of my money!)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
The sensation you are describing sounds like sciatica!. This is a type of nerve pain that is caused by a pinched nerve in your spinal column (usually L3-L5)!. This can be caused by heavy lifting or even poor posture or positioning!. The reason why you feel it in your leg is because the nerve being being pinched in your lowerback innervates that part of your leg!. Your brain cannot distinguish where along the nerve the problem is, only that it is along that nerve (typically the sciatic nerve)!. I recommend avoiding a chiropractor!. Talk to a good physical therapist or doctor, they can recommend some good stretches and exercises to prevent and stop the pain!. It is good to work on this problem now!. If you ignore it, and don't learn how to take care of your back it can lead to more serious consequences, even surgery, or permenant nerve damage (rare)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have that too!.!.!.I ithink its the sciatic nerve!. Not sure if I would use a chiropractor for it w/o first going to a doctor to confirm!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This sounds like the sciatic nerve, but check with a doctor first!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
