Basically, your belly button is nerve central for your body!. If you push on it, or wiggle your finger on it you will experience any number of sensations!. Your nerves are probably more sensitive than other peoples!. My husband claims that it makes his "ahem" tingle if I push on it, which I do just to mess with him, ha ha! You're not alone, and unless you're pregnant, you don't have an umbilical cord!. You used to have one when you were born, which is what I think the first answer meant!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It hurts because the inner part of your belly button is attached to your umbilical cord!. This means you are moving your nerves and it is just a simple reaction!. It only hurts for some people!. Others have more control of their nerves and it does not hurt them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
