Legal Drugs vs Illegal Drugs that have the same (or similar effects)? Your thoug!

Question: Legal Drugs vs Illegal Drugs that have the same (or similar effects)!? Your thoughts please!!?
I can't tell you how many times that I've heard (both in real life and here on Yahoo! Answers) people condemn someone who "self medicates" by using illegal drugs!.

Let's use "Pot" for this example!.!.!.

I find it amusing that in the same breath (or the next sentence) a person who is condemning someone for doing Pot, will state that they're on Anti-Depressants, Muscle Relaxers, Pain Meds, etc!.

Does anyone else find that hypocritical!?

Pot is known for being a "mood enhancer" (i!.e!. an Anti-Depressant), it relaxes you (i!.e!. a Muscle Relaxer), and it can relieve Pain!.

Sometimes the only difference between the two people is that the ones doing the legal drugs have Health Insurance, while the ones who are "self medicating" most of the time don't!.

It seems to me, to be a case of the kettle calling the pothead black!. (I apologize, I couldn't resist writing the corny joke!.)

Do you agree or disagree!? What are your thoughts!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
There are some extremely dangerous street drugs out there - however, many legal drugs can be just as dangerous!. If you'd like to use pot as an example, it's actually quite useful!. There are just way too many myths about it (such as it "kills brain cells", "is addictive", etc!.)!. Many prescribed drugs are worse and addictive!.

You also can't say that marijuana causes cancer -
just eat it!. :]Www@Answer-Health@Com

Pot made me a nervous, paranoid wreck!.!. Not to mention fat!.
I dunno!. I think that street drugs have way more potent side effects!.
And highs!.
If prescribed drugs got you high like that, then everybody would want them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

pot should be a legal drug if people use it for medical reason and others done y would it matter!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
