Question: Why were her eyes open when she died!?
She overdosed and I guess they say she died of asphyxiation but her eyes were open!? wouldnt she have had to pass out before everything else started shutting down!? She was lying on her back!. So was she awake when she was dying then and maybe just couldnt move to go get help!? Basically was she in any pain and did she realize she was going, do you think!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
It's not uncommon for someone to die with their eyes open!. It has very little to do with the amount of pain she was in!. It's possible that she was in pain and as her body began to shut down, the muscles that keep the eyelids closed failed!. Or maybe she just lost the will to hang on!.

I'm not very sure!. But whatever happened, at least she's in a better place now <3Www@Answer-Health@Com

asphyxiation isn't all that painful, for anyone that has been choked out before can tell you that!. It's only after you wake up that is very unpleasant, in this case that would not have been an issue!. death by cold or asphyxiation would be the 2 most pleasant ways to die and least painful!. without making a big mess of course!. after you die it is not uncommon for your eyes to remain open!. and no organs can shut down while you are still alive and that wouldn't feel good at all your body poisons itself!. for the departed sake hope it was asphyxiation and not organ failure!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

what did she overdose on to lead you to believe that the cause of death was asphyxiation, more commonly drug overdose causes heart failure and other respiratory and cardiac conditions!.!. i am not sure exactly why the eyes were open at the time of death, but i have worked in nursing homes and witnessed deceased persons with their eyes open!.!. the body is a mysterious form and who knows what nerves are activated at the time of passing!
depending what it was she overdosed on will conclude if there was pain at the time of death, im sorry for your loss!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
