Answers:
a) The light produced during welding is very bright!. Continuous unprotected exposure to this will damage the vision (similar to staring at the sun for a long time without eye protection)!.

b) Small metallic particle/s may lodge in the eye without the person noticing it!. The particle/s may scratch the eye and cause irritation or even damage the sight!.

So that is what you intend to ask!.

Some welders have a condition known as "arc eye" "arc flash", "welder's flash", "corneal flash burn" or photokeratitis, where they feel having sand in their eyes, see objects with halo around it, experience temporary blindness, have increase tear production!. It is caused by constant exposure to ultraviolet light and intense visible light from welding!. The lens and/ or the retina of the eyes are damaged!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
