How can I deal with the heat??!!!?!
Question: How can I deal with the heat!?!?!!!!?
I'm in the UK, which is generally quite cold and suits me absolutely fine because I really don't like the heat AT ALL!. But for the past week it's been very hot and sunny and I'm finding it really difficult - I hate being hot, it makes me feel physically ill, and I hate being sweaty all the time, it makes me feel really dirty!. I can't really go out in the sun because I burn ridiculously easily, so I'm spending most of my time indoors, with a fan on and all the windows open, but I'm still finding it unbearably warm!. Short of having cold showers throughout the day (and night!) what else can I do to make it easier!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

At night the temperature cools down, if it is not too humid let the air in at night, as soon as you get up in the morning close all the windows and shade the sunlight from coming in!. This will keep your place cooler for a longer time throughout the day!. You can use the fan to circulate this cooler air!. Late in the day if it gets too unbearably hot, open one window on a shady side (north, northeast) and put the fan in a window on the sunny side but reverse the fan to blowing out the open window, this will then pull from the one open window on the shady side cooling the house as much as possible!. I know this as I am also one of those people who cannot tolerate heat and aside from having air-conditioning this works pretty well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
First of all, try not to let it stress you out too much, because that will only make things worse!.
You cannot control the weather, but you can control YOU and how you react to it!.
I think some breathing and calming exercise would do you the world of good!. Just lay down on your sofa and think about the situation!. Breathe in very fully and slowly and let the breath calm you down!.
There are no magic cures for not feeling hot, you just need to learn how to deal with it emotionally!.
And dont worry, this weather wont last long!
Hope this helps a little!Www@Answer-Health@Com

!. Take a 'mini-cold shower' by laying a wet, cool cloth on the back of your neck!. That actually cools the blood going to the brain!. Feels cool!.
IF you can sit in one place for awhile, put your bare feet in a pan of cool water!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Maybe we should switch places for awhile! I'm in the midwest section of the US and it is normally getting pretty warm right now but it has been cool/cold and rainy for months, like England or Seattle!.
The best advice I can give for heat is stay where the air is moving and drink lots of water!. It will hydrate you and help your body cool itself!. You might also change your diet and only eat cool or cold food!. This is what your body naturally needs in warm weather and will help greatly!.
I've also found that a cool towel around my neck helps quite a bit to lower the body temperature!. I'm not sure how globally popular these are, but neck coolies work great!. They are tubes of fabric that are filled with water retaining crystals that soak up cold water and keep you cool!. Try this website or there are other sources for these as well:
