Question: What's going on here!?
I'm 16, and I've had a sore throat for about 2 weeks!. the first theory was because it was from my allergies!. but it hurts soo bad all the time!. I feel like all the walls and back of my throat are swollen, esp on one side!. could this mean I need my tonsils out!? If not, can you tell me what it might be!.!.and how to help it!? What happens after you have your tonsils taken out!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'd say you for sure need to go to the doctor to get it checked out!. You shouldn't ever have a sore throat for longer than 2 weeks!. To answer your question, I think it's doubtful you would need your tonsils taken out at this point, unless you've had recurring throat problems!. My best guess is either allergies, or strep throat- which needs to be treated ASAP!. I had my tonsils taken out when I was 16, but I had strep throat 4 times in a row, and then tonsillitis 3 times in a row before they decided to take them out!. It wasn't real scary or anything, and they let me keep them! Gross, I know, but I thought it was funny to scare my friends! The surgery took about an hour,and I felt better in about a week :)
And, I'm 24 now, and have Never, Ever had strep, or tonsillitis again!

I would make an appointment with your doctor tomorrow!. It's not that common for people to get their tonsils out nowadays!.!.!. so I wouldn't jump to that conclusion just yet!.
I'm guessing you have a Bacterial or Viral infection - could be Strep Throat or Laryngitis, which needs to be treated with antibiotics, or you could become seriously ill!. Another possibility could be Mono, an environmental allergy, or food allergy!.

If I was you, I would gargle with Warm Salt Water and take a Benadryl (that helps with swelling and allergic reactions) tonight!. If you have it, gargle with Vinegar (especially Apple Cider Vinegar); it tastes nasty but will start to kill any infection you might have!.

When i had my tonsils taken out it was just the back of my throught not the whole back!. Their only in one spot so you might be sick with the flu or something!. Flu's have been known to last for monthes on end so go see a doctor!. They will give you a medicine to help!. I hope you get better soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
sounds like tonsilitis!. go to a doctor get some penicillin!. ive had it many a time and still ahve my tonsils!. if it is tonsilitis go to a mirror get a torch and a fork, put the fork on your tounge and say ahh then shine the otrch down your throat!. if there is white puss on the baclk of your throat then this is tonsilitisWww@Answer-Health@Com
well, first of all I would definitely go to a doctor!. You might have strep throat!. It is a diseease that can cause your throat to hurt badly untill you get treated for it with antibiotics!. Generally all the doctor will do id swab your throat and you will know if you have it within an hour!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sounds like strep throat!. Highly contageous, go have the doctor swab your throat to be sure!. You don't need your tonsils out unless you have chronic throat problems!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
