We got a rain soft system in 2002 for our house -very hard water in our town!. We've been happy with it since putting it in the house - the water tastes really good, we don't really have to use as much soap in the washer or dishwasher, and calcuim doesn't build up on things like the aquarium or inside of the kettle any longer!. We have to buy the pellets for it 2-3 times a year - and they're cheap enough!. The also gave us a supply of soaps which we have basically just ran out of!. Over all, i'd recommend it, though i can't tell you anything about their competitors!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
