Question: Questions about xanax!?
iv been dealing with an anxiety disorder for about 3 years (im in my late teens now)!.!. i have never taken medication in the past because it has been "manageable" (aka!. i dont completely freak out but anxiety is aallwwayys on my mind)!. i have been going to three different therapists in that time as well and finally i do feel like i am on a good track and im slowly moving forward!. anyways i am going on a long trip far from home this summer which makes me very nervous!. so i got a scrip from my GP for Xanax!. im planning on just taking it as needed (on the plane, really stressed,etc) i have the !.5 mg but im supposed to just try half of that!. here are my fears: 1!. im going to become addicted 2!. its going to alter my mood dramatically (i will be a different person/depressed) 3!. i will overdose accidentally 4!. i will hate how i feel on it (one of my biggest fears is being out of control of my body!.!. is this how it makes you feel)

well, I am HIGHLY addicted to them as of now, because of other personal issues with addiction!. They are addicting if you don't keep them under control!. If you don't have an addictive personality and plan on JUST taking what is prescribed, then you should be fine!. The reason they are so addicting is because they work so WELL!! LOL But your reaction to them varies from person to person!.!.!.!.Some people get very very tired and don't end up liking them, and never take them again, and some people love them because they make everything manageable and give them a sense of euphoria!.

1!. you wont be addicted taking !.5 and sticking to !.5
2!. it would not alter your mood or make you more depressed unless you were taking a much higher dosage, which sometimes happens after longterm use of xanax!.
3!. if you are taking the prescribed amount you will not overdose, and even if you did take a couple more !.5's you still wouldnt overdose, it's practically impossible to overdose on xanax, although you would probably sleep like a baby for a LONG time!.
4!. Most likely you will be happy with the way you feel on it!. You will feel total control of your body, it is nothing outrageous or anything to worry about!.

I take !.25 often!. Personally, it doesn't do much besides relax me!.
Why don't you take half a pill before you go!. Take it when you know you don't have to do anything and you can gauge how it feels to you!. It's best not to drive when you first try it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
