Question: Im twelve but i want to be a pediatric nurse NOW!!!!!HELP!!!!!?
ok i was diagnosed with mrsa its and infection and its attacted my leg!. So i had to get 4 surgeries!. I spent 6 months in the hospital and saw how fun nursing can be!. I make really good grades and i think i can be a nurse!. But im only twelve and i cant vollenteer like candystripeing at a hospital or anything!. Are there any tips on anything i can do!. cuz i want to be a nurse now!! I already have my plan straight!. Im going to go to francis marion collage and transfer over to musc childrens hospital in charlston sc!. Any ideas to help out at anything nurse related!?!?!? help plz!. I think that it is great that you are so focused and motivated to venture in a career in nursing!. I am a nurse now and I love it!! There is such a need for compassionate nurses and I feel that it is something that you can do as you seem to care more to help others!. The best recommendation that I can give you is to talk to a guidance counselor at your school and maybe they can refer you to a community college where you can begin taking pre-nursing classes as a concurrent student (if you are current enrolled in public school)!. While you may want to see aspects of nursing, try volunteering in a long-term care facility!. This can help you as to see different aspects of nursing as well as see how people are taken care of!. OK hun! first off you need to face reality! unless you are Dougie houser its not going to happen! There is a reason why we don't have 12 year old doctors in America! If you want to be a nurse that's great but you have to wait till you finish school like everyone else! Go volunteer in a nursing home or shelter or something and study hard get good grades and when you are graduated and out of school then you can begin your nursing career until then enjoy your childhood because it will be over before you know and then you'll wish you would have enjoyed it!Www@Answer-Health@Com
When I was younger I was a member of St!.Andrew's Ambulance Service and we learned how to do first aid and all the different types of bandaging,also child care etc!.I got several certificates in health related subjects!.I was about your age!.Why not see if you can find first aid classes or an organisation like the one I mentioned!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Nursing is not fun!. You have to deal with vomit, blood, urine, faeces etc!. You need years of training but looking on the bright side you can train in hospitals!. Why don't you concentrate on your education, especially English, Biology and Physics!. All the Best Anyway!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
