ER staff get people swearing at them all the time!. Not pleasant for them but they should still be able to deal with it!.

Even if they did call security, I would imagine that they would still have to treat you while you were in the hospital (but don't expect them to be as gentle as if you were being calm and rational!)!.

But past experience aside - if you are still having pain, then go back and be determined to be patient and calm this time and I'm sure they will treat you properly!. Try and imagine how you would feel if you were working a 12 hour shift and someone was being rude!. If you get the same staff, apologise and tell them that you were in pain and not yourself and I'm sure they will understand!.

Good luck with it and well done for getting rid of the loser boyfriend!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

they see so many people in the ER that are worse off than you i mean yeah you were in pain but people come in the ER dying so they probably wanted you to wait a while and if you automatically come in thinking that you are going to be put ahead of someone more serious then they probably got mad!. take some aspirin or advil or something for your back and take a hot bath that should help your back!. good job though to you for getting rid of that jerk of a bf you had!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You cannot lawfully be refused treatment in an emergency room in the US!. Refer to EMTALA laws!. It would appear, however, that you were being seen, and the physician made the evaluation, based upon your behavior, that you were not necessarily in pain, but that you were exhibiting drug-seeking behavior!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you were cussing them and creating a problem, they can kick you out!. If you don't have insurance they don't have to treat you either (unless it's life threatening)!. Do you go in there a lot!? Maybe they were tired of you!. If they could not see any marks, they might have thought you were lying to get drugs or get your bf in trouble!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The time of treatment in a hospital is due to the type of injury! Yours is a minor problem therefor you would be knocked back to the last to be treated!
Oh and on behalf of the staff there i apologize being a doctor and thatWww@Answer-Health@Com

Apparently you were also rude!. NO they do not have to treat you unless you have a life threatening injury!. Were you drinking or do you generally curse people you want to help you!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

ER doctors and nurses have seen it all!. If you entered the ER demanding to be seen before your turn, or making a scene, then they probably WERE rude to you!.

I'm sorry your ex beat you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

no the doctor cant refuse you for any reason!. no matter what happened they must treat you!.
But next time you shouldnt be rude because maybe they'll help you but you might wait a long time and or call securityWww@Answer-Health@Com
