If my husband and I are both O positive, is our baby bound to be O positive too?!

Question: If my husband and I are both O positive, is our baby bound to be O positive too!?
Answers:
Yes, O positive blood is a recessive gen!. That means you both are recessive and there is not dominant gen so, the baby is going to be O positiveWww@Answer-Health@Com

I believe so!.!.!.

I know that your baby should be the same blood type as you because if your baby has a different type, it can be seen by your body as a FORIGN OBJECT that needs to be expelled!.!.!.

Towards the end of your pregnancy, your immune system is actually supressed quite a bit just to make sure that this doesn't happen!.!.!.

I saw a show on Discovery Health Channel a while back about how it is VERY dangerous for both mother and child if the baby isn't the same blood type!.

They need all kinds of medication and hospital stays if that happens!.!.!.

If you are worried, go talk to your doctor!.!.!. S/he should be able to tell you the reality of the situation!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't think so!. I am O negative and my husband is A postive!. Our first daughter is AB positive!. I don't know what my second daughter is because no one ever cares as much about the second born!.

Also did they test you for RH negativity yet!? I have this weird intuition that your sister is RH negative!. She had to get a shot around 27 weeks so that her body would not attack the baby!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well I know my Mom was A positive and my Dad was O negative and I am 0 negative and my husband is A positive and our Daughter is O negative like me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

He will definitely be type O!. Can not know if he will be O positive or O negative but there's more chances of being O positive!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If I remember my genetics class correctly, it will be or your husband might have some questions!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sure! It'll have one of the parent's bllod type, if you have the same, it will too!. Congratulations on the new baby! =)Www@Answer-Health@Com
