Does weight training make your shrink?!

Question: Does weight training make your shrink!?
I was told!. Lifting all those heavy weights, doing 100 pounds squats, running on the treadmill stomping your feet on the ground, working out in the morning doing cardio, Does it make your short!? Does it put loads of pressure on your spine and your knees and make your shrink!? Ive been told this!. Is it true!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
No, not unless you're a child and still growing!. Even then, your level of effort, as stated, would be *nowhere near* what it would take to stunt bone growth!. ^_^ Serious!. If you're more than 14 years old you have *nothing* to worry about at that effort level!. It might be harsh for a 12-year-old though!.

The only way you're going to put "loads of pressure on your spine" is if you lift explosively like a power-lifter (very low reps and VERY heavy weight)!. And your knees are in danger only if you lift or run with poor posture, poor form!. Try to keep your knees over your feet, and your hips *under* your shoulders when you squat!. Make sure you have good supportive shoes *if* you find your feet hurting or turning inward or outward!.

Really!. ^_^ So far there seems to be nothing wrong with what you're doing, in terms of growth, provided you're not a *little kid*, you know!?

Hope this helps!. ^_^Www@Answer-Health@Com

I can tell you from experience No!! I wouldnt squat too heavy though cause that had me knocking on the chiro's door!.!. If you work your upper body you will get bigger but it may take several months of dedication!.!. Again not too much you need rest so your body will grow!.!. I do flat bench, dumbell presses, tricep work, upper, mid and lower back work, biceps and abs!.!. Thats all for upper body!.!. For lower do leg presses, leg curls, extensions, and calf raises!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

depending on how much you do, it can hurt your back!.!.!.!.!.life with your knees not your back!. dont run on treadmills for too long, its not good!. as for the shrinking part!.!.!.!.dont think you would shrink but maybe stunt your growth!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes it is true!.
Lifting heavy weights will decrease your size because the weight compresses down on you!. Your knees, spine, etc!.
Thats why the major weight lifters are not so tall!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
