2 year old with lump in neck?!
Question: 2 year old with lump in neck!?
My 2 year old son is suffering with a has a cough and cold at the moment we are giving him all the right remdies to make him feel better but while having him on my kneel stroking his head and neck i felt a small pea sized lump at the back of his neck im going to get him in at the doctors first thing monday morning but in the meantime has any one else ever experienced anything like thisWww@Answer-Health@Com

im a gland specialist,, lol,, ive worried about glands so much in the past as ive got 4 kids and have seen so much with glands, ive researched and talked to drs alot about them
glands come up all the time, and a pea size is nothing to worry about anyway, even if it was bigger its usually nothing
one of my kids was hospitalised cos he couldnt move his neck and they suspected meningitis,, turned out his neck gland was huge and we never noticed that 1st, it stayed enlarged for around 2 months [as big as a big olive]
he was fighting an infection and even after he was well they stayed large, so your sons may stay there for a while
though it could always stay there and b no problem, my 1 year old has a couple behind her head too, the dr said most babies have them

These are lymph nodes or 'glands' they flair up when we get ill, my 3 year olds always come up when he is under the weather!. Totally normal!.
