My dad has a gurgle in his throat or lungs and has CHF? And just getting over a !

Question: My dad has a gurgle in his throat or lungs and has CHF!? And just getting over a cold!?
He claims that his cold is holding on and its just now loosening up!. His nosey was a little bit runny today and he was wiping it!. Hes had a gurgle all day and coughs every minute to stop it and its annoying!. He says that the phlegm is in his throat, not in his chest or lungs!. He called the doctor and he told my dad to take dayquil and that he wants to see my dad monday!.

I am just so scared that hes filling up in his lungs!. He has before and has never done this!. It all of a sudden just hits him and he cant breath and has a gurgle!. My mom, brother, me, then my dad caught colds a week-week and a half ago!. He claims he cant get rid of it!. He hasnt been sneezing or nothing!. Just a little bit runny nose and that gurgle!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
if he isn't feeling any better or gets worse before Monday do the best you can to get him to consent to go to the ER to get checked out or to an immediate care clinic!. Ultimately, it is his choice and you have to respect that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not good news, but not the end of the world!. I agree with Storme; Monday am to the E!.R!. if not significant improvement or stability!. The male beast will always minimize symptoms; sorry to say!. A cold AND CHF will always confuse things!. Push liquids and watch him closely for now - and you'll have done the best job you can do given the scenario you've described!. Best to you!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My heart goes out to you
Apparently you love your Dad very much!!!
I commend you on this!
I think there is an underlying reason you are worrying so excessively about him!. Has something happened in the past that makes you so concerned!?

All of the above responses are right on target! It is in his court, but you can urge him and show your concern!. Hugz and best wishes for your familyWww@Answer-Health@Com

The chances of this being related to the heart failure are almost nil!. If he has asthma or COPD, it could get bad enough to need steroids, but he's probably the best judge of that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
