Can you literally eat anything, as long as it's in moderation?!


Question: Can you literally eat anything, as long as it's in moderation!?
They would have you believe that you can only eat certain foods for the rest of your life for optimal health and keeping those curves slim!.

However, can't you for the most part eat anything, as long as you do it in moderation, or for the really unhealthy stuff, eat it sparingly and not in abundance!?

I mean, for example, if you want to eat a chocolate chip cookie one of those big 450 calorie ones, or some chocolate spread, chips, etc, can't you just have half of the cookie, one table spoon of chocolate spread and maybe 1/3rd the bag of chips!., etc etc!? Portion control!? And if you ever feel like you pigged out too much especially on the bad stuff, then try to balance it out by not eating as much, or trying to eat the low-cal stuff the next day!?

I mean at the end of the day, all food converts to the same things in the end, so isn't it all basically about the CALORIES< not really the CONTENT!?

I mean health/nutrition wise, what you wat counts but weight wise, its just cals rite!?Www@Answer-Health@Com


Answers:
I think as we get older, we tend to put on weight easier than when we were younger!. If you look at the recommended food pyramid, we do need to eat ALL kinds (fat, carbs, meat, dairy, etc!.!.), but in moderation!. It's also not a good idea to eat a big meal at once, but it's better to eat frequent small meals!.

A healthy body also needs exercise other than its food intake!. Make sure you do enough exercise, so that your body don't put on unwanted weight!.

The key is BALANCE :)

What you are facing is what we are all facing!. The food producers in this country (and others) have made their foods tastier then at any time before!. To do it they loaded up on the fat, salt and sugar!. It sells more products to do it that way!. Look at a regular Mc Donald's hamburger these days, it's small, thin, barely any meat but with some grease, cheese and high fructose corn syrup added it's a thing of beauty, to the tongue that is!.

What we need to do is learn how to cook again!. Cook at home using home made recipes, using fresh foods!. It's cheaper and healthy!. Everyhting in moderation indeed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
