Terrified that I'm going to get ill?!

Question: Terrified that I'm going to get ill!?
during my exams!. I have my GCSEs over the next month and I'm really scared of getting ill because it will affect my results, and also if I feel sick in the exam hall it could be so embarrassing and if I run out of the exam hall I could get done for cheating!.

My diet is good and I sleep and exercise well!. I have been revising for ages so it's just illness I'm scared of for my exams! How can I protect my self and get rid of these fears which I really don't need!?

Please be nice, this matters to me!. Thanks in advance for your help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Fear is natural, because you care!. The alternative is not caring, which would mean you hadn't worked hard and wouldn't do so well!. As for falling ill, nobody can say 100% that this can't ever happen, but your good diet and sleep patterns will minimise the risk!. If you were ill, then this would be taken into consideration by the marker, providing you have a doctor's certificate!. I took my GCEs over 20 years ago with chronic hayfever!. I went through a box of tissues and littered the area around my desk!.
Don't let this worry you too much!. You've got all the other options covered (poor prep, lack of sleep, poor diet) so your natural anxiety is just looking for another thing to worry about!. I'm sure you will do really well!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi there, if you don't mind me saying, it sounds like you may be suffering from a touch of anxiety!. I used to have his as well (still a worrier by nature but I can control it now)!. The person who helped me the most was a cognitive behavioral therapist!.
Do you often get worried about illogical things, or feel depressed even though not much is really wrong!?

If you think this is just a one off anxiety attack, I'd definitely say take echinacea tablets (natural herb that increases your immune system and so prevents illness) - one every day before your exams - I do it before I go on holiday!. The best and cheapest ones are from healthspan!.co!.uk and they contain Vitamin C as well for added protection against getting ill!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ah! Pre-exam jitters - I remember them well!. As with previous answers, worrying about getting ill is the surest way of making it happen!. You have a good healthy lifestyle, from what you say, and this will have the best chance of keeping you healhy!.

If the worst does happen, hen you tell the moderator before you go in to the hall that you're not feeling well, and they make allowances for that!. You will notbe failed for having to go and vomit!.

As for the embarresment; when I took my GCSEs, one of my friends waters broke 30 mins into the final exam! She's never going to live that one down!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

chill out calm down, your not going to get ill, just enjoy your last days at school, make sure you say goodbye to the people you care about coz some of them you will never see again, good luck!.!.xxWww@Answer-Health@Com

For a start, quit worrying! It'll probably make you ill itself, so that's the first step!. Basic hygeine (ensuring food is cooked, washing hands) should keep you illness free!
