Just part of a hangover?!

Question: Just part of a hangover!?
Ok, so not sure how much my drinking habits matter, but I'll include them!. I drink mainly on birthdays or other celebrations, or sometimes just for a girl's night!. It's never more than once a month!. However, when i do drink I *sometimes* go overboard!.

Anyways, so after drinking heavily, I obviously wake up with a hangover, but my body is also really shaky!. My hands and legs feel real jello-y!. Is this part of the hangover, or could it be something else!?

Again, for what it's worth, alcoholism runs on both sides of my family, as does diabetes!. I don't consider myself an alcoholic as I don't crave alcohol or drink regularly!. But could these genetic factors have anything to do with why my bodily shakes!?

Thanks in advance!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
It is part of a hang over!. Alcohol is digested as a sugar, so when you over indulge you raise your blood sugar!. The alcohol also dehydrates you which can reduce your sugar levels!. So your body has gone from very high to very low levels of sugar!. Needless to say it is even worse for you with your family history!. The day after drink lots of liquids and eat some complex carbohydrates!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The shakiness is part of the hangover!. Because of the way alcohol is digested, after heavy drinking people become slightly hypoglycemic, meaning their blood sugar is too low!. having low blood sugar can cause you to be shaky or nauseous and might even cause fainting!. Some people feel the same way if they haven't eaten in a while!. Don't worry, your blood sugar corrects itself in a few hours or a day, and many people experience hypoglycemia after heavy drinking!.

P!.S!. if alcoholism runs in your family, be careful!Www@Answer-Health@Com
