When sleeping, does the body regulate temperature?!

Question: When sleeping, does the body regulate temperature!?
At night, does your body maintain the same temperature of 98!.7!?

Or does it decrease!?

I would think it decreases, because you have a decreased heart rate and decreased breathing rate, so wouldn't your body temp go down!?

I ask this because if I'm freezing before I go to sleep, I'll wake up sweating bullets!. But if I go to bed really hot, I'll wake up in the middle of the night shivering!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
If you go to bed hot and wake up shivering, it may be because of the cooling effect of drying sweat!. Still, the body does regulate it's temperature, and if you're going to bed cold and waking up hot, yours isn't regulating it as it should!. You should address these issues with your doc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your body temperature actually INCREASES when you sleep!. I'm not sure why, but this explains why you can wake up at night sweating like crazy when you were fine when you fell asleep!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Its should but I think you are actually a bit warmer and its 98!.6 normalWww@Answer-Health@Com
