Tongue is numb -wisdom teeth PLEASE HELP?!


Question: Tongue is numb -wisdom teeth PLEASE HELP!?
I got my wisdom teeth pulled out in april of 06

since then my tongue has been numb on the left side and i have a huge cut on my tongue

they said it should go away it can take a year but its been longer than that

PLEASE What kind of doctor should i see for this!?

did they hit a nerve!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

My oral surgeon told me about the possibility of damaging a certain nerve in your jaw while extracting the teeth!. By damaging this nerve you can have numbness on one side of the mouth for a very long time!. This is most likely what happened to you!. I would go back to the oral surgeon for an evaluation to see if the nerve was damaged and if there is anything you can do about it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
