Lately I've been waking up at about three am and have been wide awake? What !


Question: Lately I've been waking up at about three am and have been wide awake!? What can I do about it!?
It's happened the past three or four days!. I've taken melatonin and it's not helping!. I'd like to avoid taking anything stronger than that!. Any ideas on what is causing it and tips on correcting it!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you don't want to take any drugs, perhaps you should look into self hypnosis!. Look into books on self hypnosis, but if you want a recommendation try "Instant Self Hypnosis" by Forbes Robbins Blair!. It sounds hokey but it's not an expensive book and the sleep script I found works well!. As for what's causing it, I'd ask yourself if there is something of late that has been causing stress that has surfaced in the past three or four days!. Do what you can to address it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It all depends, but for starters dont drink any coffe, or caffeine whatsoever!. Not even in the morning or in the day!. And see if that helps!.
Also dont eat anything before you sleep, no candy or anything, like in say two hours or less prior to going to bed!. Another thing that helps the body to relax is excercise, and tireing yourself
out, not prior to laying down but in the day!. Also dont sleep with the lights on!. The body doesen't sleep as deep if it senses light, same
with having the tv or radio on and such!. When you whind down it's better to read, and having all lights but the reading light turned off,
if not possible turned down!. Another thing is your breathing to really relax!. It might help to consciously breath in long inhales with the mouth, like
pulling in air for like a second then a natural pause, and exhaling with your nose!. And a short natural pause, and repeating!. It's
important that you find a natural and comfortable rhythm, if you haven't tried it before you could risk exaggerating the pace or similar when
only following instructions in text, so just keep that in mind!. It's really pretty straightforward, just let it take it's time!.
I understand you may not have any problems falling asleep, but HOW you reach that point is important and since you didn't go into detail I think

3 am is the witching hour, the hour when the dead can walk the earth!.!.!. theres obviously a restless spirit around you that is waking you up!.!.!. but dont worry, it seems harmless!.
