Answers:
Well!.!.!. Here's one I'm an expert on!.

It depends on why you're in the hospital!. If you're under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and are considered too intoxicated to make rational decisions, hospital personal will go out to look for you!. This is true whether you walked in yourself, or were brought in by law enforcement!. If they cannot find you, the police will be called!. The police will search the streets for you, and/or go the your home!. When they find you, you will be brought back to the hospital!.!.!. in cuffs, if necessary!. The same thing would happen if you were admitted for a mental health issue where your safety was at risk!. I recently had a very drunk man attempt to walk out of the emergency room!. He was detained by security in the parking lot!. In his case, he decided to fight with them!. He was maced, and held down!. A stretcher with restraints was bought outside, and the paitent was placed on it!.

If you are simply a patient, you can leave a hospital whenever you like!. They might try to stop you in order to have you sign and AMA (Against Medical Advice) form, but they won't force you to stay!. The form states that you're aware of the risks of walking out without completing the course of treatment set by the doctor!. If you walk out, and drop dead, the hospital isn't responsible!. The form is a legal document that's good for the facility to have, but if you sneak out (elope) you can't come back and sue, if you health goes bad!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you escape from a mental hospital, yes they will come and find you, if you are docile they will just put you in the car and take you back, if you are violent you will either be tranqualized or put into a straight jacket!.

If you leave from a regular hospital, you are leaving AMA, and they will not come look for you unless you are there because of a DUI causing injury or death , or a shooting, or drug related activity!.

What a strange question!? Good luck, Jackie bWww@Answer-Health@Com

If in a regular hospital, for medical treatment you would be free to walk out at any time!. But if you do leave against medical advise, your insurance most likely will not pay for the treatment you received up to that point!. The only way they could make you come back and possibly cuff you!. Would be if you were involuntarily committed, a threat to yourself/others, already under police custody or being treated for something they thought could be a public hazard if you left!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well it depends on whether or not you checked yourself in if it is a mental facility!. If you checked yourself in they can't do anything!. If it was a forced admit then yes they can try to find you and strap you down if the police feel you are a threat to yourself and the community!.

If you are talking about a regular hospital they can't do anything without your consent so it is up to you!. They will try to encourage you to stay, but can't force you into anything!. You have a choice!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It depends on what you are in the hospital for!.!.!.for mental issues maybe!. But if you are just in the hospital seeking medical treatment and you leave, there is nothing they can do about it, hospital admission is on a voluntary basis!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No!. They would beat you sencelWww@Answer-Health@Com

You can leave AMA(against medical advise) but if you have been arrested or under a mental eval, then yes they can haunt you down!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Only if you are under arrest otherwise you do not have to sneak out!. You can VOLUNTARILY walk out at any time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
