Which foods contain little (or no) acid or are good for getting rid of excess ac!

Question: Which foods contain little (or no) acid or are good for getting rid of excess acid in the body!?
It's for the hubby!. I know he's to stay away from citrus foods but what else should he or should he not eat to help get rid of the acid!? He's having a problem eating and apparantly, it hurts to swallow!. I say apparantly because he is a drama queen when it comes to being poorly but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt this time!.

Thanks

Increase your consumption of foods rich in vitamin A, it is beneficial to the urinary tract and helps to discourage the formation of stones, good sources of vitamin A include alfalfa, apricots, cantaloupes, carrots, pumpkin, Sweet potatoes, and squash, Use distilled water only for drinking and cooking , Add Trace mineral drops to your drinking water, minimize your consumption of animal protein or eliminated it from your diet Altogether, A high animal protein diet amounts of calcium , phosphorus, and uric acid in the kidney and often resulting in painful kidney stones, limit you calcium intake and avoid dairy products!. While the consumption of foods high in oxalic acid (mostly eggs, fish, and certain vegetables) has declined markedly in this country in that time, the amount of animal fats and protein in the average American's diet has increased significantly!. The ratio of plant to animal protein in the typical diet!. Now I'm not sure if this will answer your question as you didn't say what kind of acid, otherwise try Zantac!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it hurts to swallow, then there may well be something like a sore throat which has nothing to do with acid!. As for food, try top avoid any spicy foods!. Sometimes, after too full a meal, or if the muscle at the end of the esophagus doesn't properly close, some stomach acid may go back (reflux) into the lower esophagus and cause a burning feeling!. Some over-the-counter "purple" pills can reduce the amount of acid the stomach makes and help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
