What produces snot?!

It comes from the mucus membranes inside your sinuses!. When you have a virus, your body tries to flush it out, hence the excess mucus and continual runny nose!.
And BTW, the fluid around your brain can actually leak into your nose (a CSF leak) and it can be a very serious condition, but I know you were kidding about it, just thought I'd throw in that interesting tidbit!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
