Does everybody eventually get thier appendix removed?!

Question: Does everybody eventually get thier appendix removed!?
Answers:
Most people keep their appendix their entire life!. It is only removed if it becomes inflamed or infected and might erupt causing you a generalized infection in your abdominal cavity which is quiet a serious problem!. It is actually thought that the appendix may have some function, though for years it was thought to be a left over nonfunctional organ (vestigial) that humans evolved out of the need for!. Now there at least two theories about the appendix's use!. One thought is it helps with immunity because it has a very heavy concentration of lymph nodes!. The other thought is that it is a "safe home" for the normal good bacteria that already exists in your gut!. If the good bacteria is killed in the gut by profuse diarrhea or use of an antibiotic these bacteria will multiply to repopulate the gut!. We can however survive without the appendix if necessary as other body parts also serve similar functions!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

NO, your appendix (also called your vermiform appendix) is only removed if it becomes inflamed, usually from hard stool backing up into it and causing an infection!. This is called a fecal-lith, and they remove it to keep it from rupturing and causing internal bleeding!. Most people will never have an issue with their appendix!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your appendix is a small, finger-shaped pouch connected to your large intestine, in the lower right part of your belly, also called your abdomen!. The appendix really has no purpose!.

When your appendix gets inflamed, or swells up, it's called appendicitis There isn't always an obvious reason why appendicitis happens!. Sometimes it happens after there is an infection in the intestine!. Sometimes something causes a blockage in the appendix, then it gets inflamed!.

Appendicitis is not contagious!. There isn't much you can do to prevent appendicitis from happening!.

Someone with appendicitis might feel as if he or she is having stomach cramps or really bad indigestion!.

Usually, the first symptom is a bellyache around the belly button!. Sometimes, vomiting follows!. After a few hours, the pains tend to move down to the lower right side of the belly!. Sometimes the pain can become sharp and intense in this area!.

A person with appendicitis will not feel very hungry and might have a slight fever!. Some people do not want to move around because they feel better if they lie down and curl up!.

Hope this helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com
