Question: Have you tried this for ear infections!?!?
I have a really bad ear infection (my doctor said there was even blood in my ear canal)!. A close friend of mine told me an at home remedy that works well for her kids!. I was wondering if anyone has tried it and if it worked!.
She said to heat up (but not too hot) some extra-virgin olive oil!. Hot enough that it's not too hot for your arm!. And place one or two drops in the affected ear!. Lay on your side for about 20 minutes and then switch sides, allowing that ear to drain!.
It seems to make sense!. As oil is heavier than water (or blood in this case) and would push any unwanted liquid out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am the first one to go with natural remedies, but re-read what you wrote here!. You have "a really bad ear infection (my doctor said there was even blood in my ear canal)!."
Do exactly what your doctor said to do!. Don't mess around!. This is a bad infection and you don't want to do any damage to your ear!.
If anything, a warm towel over your ear (the heat will bring out the infection)!.
Please don't add oil!. You obviously have a bad infection and putting oil on it could make it worse!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hey, so basically there is no way for the oil to actually get into the inner ear section of your ear!. Only in the outside canal!. This technique of the oil in the ear has been proven to alleviate pain from the ear infection!. I have never tried it myself, but it is highly recommended!. The infection is not caused by anything the oil will fight, its caused by a bacteria that is infesting!. The only way to rid the infection is some anti biotics!.
